Diego is an 11 year old kart racer from Phoenix Arizona.  Diego started kart racing at the age of 5 in the kid kart class at the Phoenix Kart Racing Association track.  At age 6, Diego started racing the rotax micromax and before he was 7, had already won a National level race by winning the 3rd round of the 2013 Rotax Challenge of the Americas.  At the age of 7, Diego won two Rotax Can-Am races and placed 3rd in the championship standings.  Also as a 7 year old, Diego won the Bondurant 6 race shootout to win an invitation to the 2013 Rotax Micro/Mini invitational at the Rotax Grand Finals held in New Orleans.   Diego has also won 5 Bondurant Micromax Championships in the last 3 years.  

In 2015, Diego won all 6 micromax races at the Challenge of the Americas to win the championship,  won 2 main events at the Florida Winter tour, won the second round of the US Open in Colorado and the third in Las Vegas to clinch the 2015 US Open Micromax Championship.

In 2015 Diego started racing the IAME Mini Swift in the SKUSA Pro Tour, and in his first race finished on the podium in 3rd.  In 2016 Diego won on the Pro Tour in Phoenix, and ended up in 2nd place overall in the Pro Tour Championship.

In 2016, Diego won the US Grand National Championship in Micromax, along with the US Open Championship.  With his wins in the US, he went to Italy to compete in the Rotax Grand Finals where he won becoming the youngest ever World Champion in Karting and only the second American to win at the Rotax World Finals.
